What should I bring to the appointment?

Please bring your health insurance card and—if available—a current list of medications, vaccination records, or relevant medical reports. This will allow us to get a complete picture of your health status.

What should I do in an emergency outside of business hours?

For medical emergencies outside our hours of operation, please contact the regional emergency medical service or, in urgent cases, go directly to a hospital’s emergency department. In life-threatening situations, please dial the emergency number 144.

Does health insurance cover the cost of treatment?

Most primary care services are covered by basic insurance. Depending on the treatment, deductible, and insurance plan, you may be required to pay a copayment. If you have any questions, we’d be happy to assist you.

Can I come in just to get a second opinion?

Yes, of course. You can also schedule an appointment with us for a second opinion or an independent medical evaluation. If you have any existing test results or reports, please bring them with you.

Why does the item "Review of Files in Absence" (AA.15.0010) appear on my statement?

When we receive medical findings, lab results, or reports about you from hospitals and medical specialists, a significant part of our work takes place behind the scenes.

Specifically, this means:

‍Patient Safety: We thoroughly review new information and medications against your medical records to prevent interactions and other risks.‍
Legal Obligation: As your primary care practice, we are legally required under the Swiss Medical Fee Schedule to process and document these reports in full.

This essential medical preparatory work is performed while you are away. Since it takes time, it is billed correctly in accordance with official Swiss billing guidelines.
